This course is aimed at arborists, estate workers, grounds maintenance crews, and anyone else who needs to use a powered pole pruner as part of their work.
WHAT WILL BE COVERED?
The course covers PPE, pre- and post-operational checks, usage, and relevant legislation pertaining to these units. You will also cover routine maintenance, including sharpening of the chain, and demonstrate the different types of cuts used with these machines.
Participants will learn to perform the following skills with an emphasis on safety
- Personal Protective Equipment
- Saw Maintenance
- Chain Sharpening with depth gauge Adjustment
- Health & safety
- aerial Pruning technique
- Aerial Crosscutting technique
ARE THERE ANY PER-REQUISITES – You must be at least 16 years of age to undertake the training and assessment. Participants should supply own Personal Protective Equipment.
DURATION – 2 Days
ACCREDITATION – Upon successful completion candidates will be assessed for City and Guilds/NPTC Unit CS48.
